Why did my existing oil leak just get BIGGER after

I've had an oil leak from where the oil separator joins the block for a couple of months now. Usually I would just get a quarter sized oil spot on my driveway after letting my car sit overnight. That was with the Jaz setup. Now, with the Moroso can on I get a basketball sized oil spot overnight!!! I was hoping that the suction created by the Moroso can setup would seal the leaking o-ring better. Wrong! I've pulled the intake manifold once already to inspect the oil separator and the o-ring. The tank was OK but the o-ring was a little loose but not torn or anything. I finally found a dealership here that could get me the o-ring after the local one told me I had to buy the whole tank just for the o-ring. Hopefully I can fix it this time when I go through the hassle of pulling the intake manifold AGAIN. Does anyone know why the oil leak is worse with the Moroso setup? Odd thing though, after discovering the massive oil puddle I checked the oil level...it showed full.

Fred, I don't see why in the world a catch can set up have *anything* to do with an oil leak problem of the oil separator (because of the damaged o-ring). Probably just a coincidence that after you installed the new can, the situation got worse...If you can't find a o-ring in your area, let me know...I can buy one and ship it to you. I can't understand why your local dealership won't sell you just the o-ring....if they don't have it, they can always special order one.

I found another Honda dealership in the area to get me the o-ring. It should be here Thursday morning. I'm gonna start taking the everything apart today so that I don't have to deal with it tomorrow. This better fix it or I'll be highly jacked!

I have the same oil problem. I replaced my box and o-ring already and I'm still having this odor coming from the manifold area. It really bugs me when the smell comes through my vents while I'm driving. Any other solutions?

I'm replacing the o-ring tomorrow and will be putting some silicone on the ring to help it seal even tighter. I posted this same question at the ENDYN message board and T.O.O. is the one that suggested I put silicone on o-ring. He said that when oil comes into contact with it, it'll cause the silicone the expand and help the o-ring seal tighter. He actually said silicon but I'm pretty sure that he meant silicone. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
